Receivly

Seller terms and the refund and dispute policy. Version 2026-10-22.

Draft for test mode. Receivly takes only Paystack test payments until these terms are final.

Seller terms

1. What Receivly is

These terms are between [Receivly company name], RC [Receivly RC number], of [Receivly registered address] ("Receivly", "we") and the business that turns on Receivly ("you", the "Seller"). By turning it on, you accept these terms and Paystack's merchant terms.

  1. Receivly lets you take card, bank transfer and other payments for your orders through Paystack, without a Paystack account of your own.
  2. Paystack Payments Limited processes every payment. Receivly is not a bank and does not hold your money.
  3. For each Seller we create a Paystack subaccount linked to the bank account you give us. When a customer pays, Paystack splits the payment and settles your share directly to that account on Paystack's settlement schedule.
  4. Receivly does not keep a balance for you and does not offer withdrawals. Your money moves from the customer to Paystack to your bank.

2. Fees

  1. Receivly's fee is 1% of the value of the goods in each paid order. Delivery fees are not charged.
  2. Paystack's processing fee is deducted from your share, unless we tell you in writing that Receivly will pay it.
  3. The fee in force is shown in Receivly, under Ways to pay. We give you at least 30 days' notice before raising it, and a change applies only to payments made after it takes effect.
  4. Every payment in Receivly shows what the customer paid, Receivly's fee, Paystack's fee and your share.

3. Your bank account

  1. You must give a Nigerian bank account in the name of your business or, for a sole trader, in your own name.
  2. We check the account with Paystack before we create your subaccount, and compare its name with your business's name. You are responsible for its details being correct. Neither Receivly nor Paystack is liable for a payout to an account you gave us in error.
  3. To change the account, change it in Receivly. We may pause payouts while we check the new one.

4. What you agree to do

  1. Sell only goods and services you have the right to sell, and describe them honestly, including price, delivery time and delivery cost.
  2. Deliver what was paid for, or refund the customer under the refund policy below.
  3. Keep proof of each order and its delivery for at least 12 months, and give it to us within 2 working days when we ask.
  4. Keep your business details in COVORN up to date and answer our checks.
  5. Follow the laws that apply to your business, including consumer protection, tax and data protection law.
  6. Not use Receivly to take payments for another business.

5. What you may not sell

You may not use Receivly for anything illegal in Nigeria or restricted by Paystack's terms, including weapons, drugs, counterfeit goods, gambling, adult content, cryptocurrency trading, money transfer services and investment schemes. We may update this list to match Paystack's.

6. Refunds, chargebacks and recovery

  1. Refunds and disputes follow the refund and dispute policy below.
  2. You authorise Receivly to recover from you any amount refunded or charged back on your orders, with any related fees, by deducting it from your future settlements through Paystack or by invoicing you. You must pay an invoice within 7 days.

7. Pausing or ending the service

  1. You can switch Receivly off for new orders at any time in Receivly. Payments already started still complete.
  2. We may pause or end your use, with notice where the law and Paystack allow, if you break these terms, if we or Paystack reasonably suspect fraud, if your refund or dispute rate is high, or if Paystack or a regulator requires it. Receivly shows you the reason.
  3. Paystack may hold settlements under its own terms. We will tell you what Paystack tells us.

8. Liability

  1. Receivly is provided as it is, and depends on Paystack and the banks. We are not liable for their delays or failures.
  2. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to the Receivly fees you paid in that period.
  3. You are responsible for the goods and services you sell and for your dealings with your customers.

9. Data

We share your business, bank and order details with Paystack to run the service and to meet Paystack's and the law's checks. Our privacy policy: [privacy policy link].

10. Changes and law

  1. We may change these terms with 30 days' notice in Receivly or by email. Receivly asks you to accept the new version.
  2. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes go to [the courts of Delta State, Nigeria]. Contact: [Receivly payments email].

Refund and dispute policy

For every payment made through Receivly. The business handles you and decides the refund; Receivly issues it through Paystack and answers Paystack on every dispute.

For customers

  1. If something is wrong with an order, contact the business you bought from first. Their details are on your receipt and their shop page.
  2. If the business does not answer within 3 working days, write to [Receivly payments email] with your order number. We contact the business and reply to you within 5 working days.
  3. If your order never arrives, arrives damaged, or is not what was described, you get your money back in full, whatever the business's own rules say.
  4. Refunds go back to the card or account you paid with. Banks usually take 5 to 10 working days to show them.

Refunds

  1. Each Seller sets its own rules for change of mind and shows them on its shop page.
  2. The Seller asks for a refund in Receivly, with the order and the amount. A refund can be full or partial, up to what was paid.
  3. Receivly issues the refund through Paystack within 2 working days of the request, or tells the Seller why not.
  4. Receivly's fee on the refunded part is given back to the Seller, in proportion. Paystack's processing fee is not returned unless Paystack returns it.
  5. If the Seller's share has already been settled, the refunded amount is recovered from the Seller.

Disputes and chargebacks

  1. When a customer disputes a payment with their bank, Paystack tells Receivly, and the payment shows as Disputed in Receivly with the date Paystack needs an answer by.
  2. Receivly asks the Seller for evidence within 1 working day; the Seller sends it within 2 working days: the order, messages with the customer, proof of delivery, any refund already given.
  3. Receivly answers Paystack before its deadline. If the dispute is lost, or no evidence is sent in time, the amount and any chargeback fee are recovered from the Seller.
  4. Paystack's decision is final for that payment, and is recorded in Receivly.
